Well I hate to say it but, the colour doesn't help. You're not going to find many people that would buy a pink car so they've probably lowered the price to suit.

The other factors would be its age, its 8 years old now. It wouldn't even have a glovebox unless its been retrofitted.

And of course its had 3 owners. Ok thats not loads but it all affects the price.

I think its a bargain, you could even afford to get it re-sprayed!

I have to go with Matt on this one. The colour will limit the market somewhat hence the lower price.

Its a fair point Matt about the age, you forget that MINI's have been around for so long now.

Although the miles do seem quite low to me for a 51 plate car.

I forgot to say - and i dont know how i forgot - it is a lovely pink. A much nicer colour than some of the candy/solid pink ones i have seen.

I would love a pink MINI but i am just not brave enough.

Would this mean that you would have two MINIs to keep clean then?

49k miles in 8 years, that's only just over 6k miles per year, I did more than twice that in a year!

The down pipe of my cat rusted in Jan 08 just before Apple's 6y birthday, and I had to replace the cat costing nearly 800 GBP.

Short journeys to and from work and around town when Apple was younger contributed to the rust.

Also, my driving style and short journeys resulted in the clutch being worn and collapsed shortly after I replaced the cat, and that cost 1.3k to replace!!!

Therefore, I would be concerned about the state of the cat and clutch. If these check out to be ok, and the car is really "as new" after 8y, then yes, I too would agree it is a bargain.

Nothing wrong in the colour if that's what your missus likes! But then I would say that about any colour combination

You are welcome, and I like the colour!

Not that I would get one in that colour myself, as I really love the red/green combo, and spec'ed my Brompton folding bike in that combination, red main frame with Apple Greem extremities

I'll take a pic of both Apples today and post it up one day

I agree with Dora Rob. You would be gutted to buy a bargain that turned into a moneypit. Have you thought about a professional inspection? That way you get peace of mind and possibly a little bargaining tool!

Cheap?? its soon to be 8 years old...... and is probably only 1/3 of its original value. No wonder Minis are still remain one of the best for holding their value. If it was a vauxhall or ford it would be worth peanuts
