He all,
I am sad to report ALICE is not well sad.png  We was out this afternnon when she coughed and spluttered & lost power, the 'Half shaded engine light' came up!  we was in the vacinity of my dealer luckily, so we popped in, and typical the service dept was closed.  I phoned MINI assist who said because the light was on amber it was ok to drive her but I have to phone the service dept Monday & book her in......does anyone have any ideas what this could mean.  She is still under warranty so I am not to worried, I am just concerned it could be something serious!!

Thanks guys

Chris x

its probably something simple like a sensor has packed up. Sounds like your ECU has put itself into safe mode to prevent dmage to the engine. If MINI assist said its ok to drive then i'm sure it will be fine

Well funny you should say that Matt, cos on the Top Gear run last year I had various warning lights come up & it turned out to be the Brake fluid sensor switch had gone, so hopefully its the same sort of thing....Thanks Matt

Luckily it sounds like it is all ok for you. I am sure you will be glad to have her back. See you on Saturday.
