Oh right.

Coz we've all been using www.scnm.co.uk for a while since Dave managed to get it from the hog who was holding on to it.

I have to agree with Arron here, we have just all brought new stickers for our cars with the new address on.

And the old address will be stopped soon, coz whats the point of having .net and co.uk?

I did check with Dave, and confirmed the .net address will be kept for the foreseeable future.

It is on the banner for a start, and providing it is re-directed to .co.uk, which Dave will do, then people will still find this place.

I also offered to buy the domain name and keep it re-directed to .co.uk if required.

Joanne The domain name is www.scnm.net Click on the link. The SCNM Banner has www.scnm.net on it.

Site Admin was happy for this to be used.

I win! I bet Arron as well It was the first comment I made but Dora had already built the whole thing by then.

I would expect to keep .net for a while yet and its not massively expensive. I think I mentioned that back in 2007 when it changed.

I personally have no opinions which we use, however I would agree that we were led to believe that .net was being wound up, hence the reason for us all buying new car stickers. In addition I ordered the flags with .co.uk, and have had the address in MM mag changed to .co.uk.

I suppose if either address directs peeps to this site then it is perhaps an irrelevant argument?

One can have more than one top level domain and re-direct them to only one address.

.net will be directed to .co.uk, so that should not be an issue.

I have .com, .net and .org for all my personal domains.

Sorry you got that feeling as the main drive for new stickers was the addition of "Club" and that .co.uk is what your browser says once you reach the site. A lot of people still have the .net and dont want to change and there is also the Banner which cant be changed without buying a new one so there needs to be a way for anyone reading them to reach the site.

Ok leaving the domain name aside (i'm not getting into that argument!) it all looks good. Must have meant a lot of time and effort invested so thank you Dora. Have my eye on several items!
