Just got my MOT and i've got an advisory notice saying
"Nearside front road wheel with a slightly distorted bead rim"
I have no idea what this means. Anyone?

It means the bead rim on your nearside front wheel is distorted.

Sorry couldn't resist!

The bead of a tyre is the bit that sits against the side of the rim.

The lip of the wheel holds the bead, thus holding the tyre to the wheel.

Therefore I can only assume that your tyre is not central to the wheel.

Is it a runflat? Do you get any vibration through your steering?

Looking at this site it shows that it could be the rim of the wheel is distorted.

Have you ever hit a kerb with it?

Have the tyre changed as soon as poss, having hit the kerb you have prob damaged the construction of the side wall. This often leads to a bulge (hernia type effect)
