Is this a common problem? Is it best to go to BMW to get it fixed? What sort of pride can i expect to pay?

But at the time the service chap said i was lucky as it would be an £800 job whereas i got away with paying £215 which was the price of the clutch itself. This was TICE mini in Dorchester and for a mini cooper s.

I phoned Tice BMW just for a giggle to see how much it would be and he said £850 . Is it a common problem coz the guy at the local garage said he had done quite a few, but the guy at BMW said he aint done any.

But wasnt worn out as such but the difference afterwards was huge. The pedal was so much lighter with the bite point being much lower was maybe it was on its was (had done about 51k miles).
