Hi everybody, hope you all had a good new year.
Well we're back for our 5th year now and as this event has become alot more than I ever imagined I have deciced that we should have a..........
P.A.R.T.Y

We will be Camping at the Chichester campsite for 2 nights, friday and saturday, BBQ's on the friday night followed by a run (with lunch) on the sat and a great BIG PARTY on the saturday night.

Camping.
The campsite can be found in Chichester just off the A27, we have used this campsite for 3 years now and is very easy to find, a very nice site and perfect for us as there is plenty of room

Below is the address, phone no. and website. You can book by phone or by popping in and seeing them. The Campsite is £20 per Tent Max. 4 people, so the more you can get in your tent the better

Vinnetrow road, Chichester, West sussex, PO20 6LB
Tel-01243787715

Park Holidays Uk website
Hotel.
The Hotel will be the Premier Travel Inn in Chichster ( For those who refuse to Camp )

Premier Travel Inn Website

Friday.
I will be arriving at around lunch time with a tent and a gizebo, and secure our usaul spot. The first night we will be bbq night, you are in charge of your own food and your own bbq, we will more than likely club together for some disposable bbq's, then everyone can get their own food and do as they please.

Saturday - The Run
Saturday as always is the Day of the South Downs Run, and starts at Goodwood. Exact start point to be confirmed, but we'll most likely use the car park near the race course, rather than the circuit.

We will be stopping for lunch at The Cider House in the absolute middle of nowhere. This is a very posh venue for the South Downs, and they've agreed to let us park on their field for our lunch stop. They will be providing a BBQ/Grille for lunch, or folks can bring your own.
The Cider House Website

The run will resume for a very short second half.... bringing us back to the campsite
Saturday Night is PARTY NIGHT.
When in your life did you most enjoy party's? For me is was when I was a kid. So I thought we should have a kids party just with out most of the kids...i'm thinking jelly, cheese on sticks, rice Krispie cakes, party hats and of course party games like pass the parcel. I can't wait myself
We will arrive back at the campsite and have a few hours to do as you please until the start of the evenings proceedings.

As this year we are going for a kids party theme we will be having a MINI Fancy dress Competion in the afternoon that will be judged by my mum (as she has no idea about minis and will just go for the best looking one) just before the Party starts. There will be a prize for the winner as well.

The Party will kick off , with fun and games as well as the party food. There will be lists of the propposed games and food that will be supplied, just below, that will be added to if anybody has any better ideas then me and Jon.

The Games.
Pass the parcel
Runaround ( Idea by Chis and Jax)
The (world famous) Tape Measuring game
Musical Statues (sober peeps might have a better chance)
Duck duck goose (barmade in the brainstorming pub suggeted that)
Pictionary (Jon's Idea)

There will also be prizes for all of the games

The food.
Sausage rolls
scotch eggs
Pork pies
Snacks i.e crisps, peanuts
Chili and Nacho's
Veggy curry (Jon's own)
Party rings
Giant Jaffa Cake (Jon's Idea again)
Jelly (fo course)

The Timings.
10.30 - Meet at start point
11.00 - Start Run
13.30 - Lunch Stop
14.30 - Start 2nd Half of Run
15.00 - Arrive back at campsite

Take your time to post this up or what?! tongue.png

Tent pitch with EHU just opposite the big patch in the middle booked, we'll be staying from Wed 16 Jul through to Sun 20 Jul

Can't bring chocolate mousse and cheesecake this year, as we'll be camping from 12 Jul 08 onwards in Thetford before coming down to Lakeside on Wed 16 Jul. I'll probably make something while I am there, or raid Sainsbury instead!

See you all soon! amazed.png

Precisely the reason why I took down the pitch numbers last year, and booked well in advance this year! Should have listened when I nagged you to book early tongue.pngtongue.pngtongue.png

Not long to go, see you soon! amazed.png

Lee, we won't be on the run this year, as I am selling my mini tomorrow, but if we can arrange it, would it be ok if we met up with you all for lunch?  Lesley
