Hi All,

This is my first post and hopefully it won't be a regular occurance in this section.

I have a problem with the central locking in that the doors lock fine with the remote, but when unlocking, the alarm unsets and the passenger door and boot unlock, but I then need to use the key to unlock the drivers door.

Is it most likely to be a faulty lock and if so is it a main dealer only part or can anyone recommend another supplier. I would try a breakers yard but feel it may be a false economy is this is a common problem.

Thank you in advance for you help.

Jules

ps Has anyone got a Radio cassette or MD for sale as some of the buttons dont work on mine. It also powers a CD changer.

Its a common fault with the door locks ive heard a few people have the same problem, I did myself last year one of the guys on here might know someone local to fix it for you as the door lock is quite cheap I think I paid about £30 including fitting but that was a mate in birmingham who works at mini.
LTS tunning (lee) might be able to help or give you some advice.

hi,we had this on ours.
fingers crossed it will be cheap like ours was.
you need to clean the plugs (inside the door)with switch cleaner and also the ecu which is in the footwell and gets moist over the wet months, hence why your possible problem.
it is know that the ecu hets moist by garages and sometimes they cover it up afterwards

Hi agian,

A bit of feedback. The part cost £57 inc vat from a dealer and took around half an hour to replace.

It works again now.

Thanks for your help.

Jules
