The run will take place over 8 days starting on 12th July and ending on the 19th. I am getting round the clubs in the hope that you will all help us put this one together. I need your help to plan the route. I can take it off maps etc, but they don't show me good Mini roads, or where traffic problems and bottle necks are. This is why I need your help. I am not sure what is the extent of your catchment area here in this club. But we are on the South Coast from Day 6 through Day 7. Day 6 Runs through Cornwall, back along coast through Plymouth, Exeter, Weymouth etc ending the day in Bournemouth. Day 7 From Bournemouth, through Brighton, Dover Margate into Essex. What I need is volunteers to plan the route along those lines. You don't have to plan the whole day, just do a bit in your area if you can. The guys up in Scotland have already started sending me routes in those areas. Each day should try to take in a Mini dealership (contact email needed for them), some good photo opportunities (famous landmarks etc) but shouldn't take us too far inland. Time is short and we have a lot of miles to cover. We will also need to find accomodation in Bournemouth. We are trying to keep costs down for drivers so the cheaper the better. A local B & B who wants to help us would be ideal. And it goes without saying that if you can join us for your leg of the run then that would be great. The more cars the better, better still if you planned the run. We are hoping to get Modern Mini to cover the event and so names will go into the article. Please feel free to get in touch. Email is the best option in case I don't get back here regularly. -email- Thanks for taking the time to read this post. Any help appreciated. As for B&B's i think our un-south coast resident Joanne will be able to help you as he visits us a lot and knows where yo stay. We could even arrange something in the evening in Bournemouth if you would like some MINI company. | ||
