I've purchased a set of eibach springs and am going to fit them myself. I am very handy with a spanner but just wondered if anyone has any helpful advice which is specific to the mini, or any specialist tooling i will need.

thanks in advance

Hello Mark, So where are you located? Can give you a hand if you want? If you can wait till early in the new year we can use my workshop. It's booked out for paying customers till then Is it a MCS? Lee

As for tools you will need a set of spring clamps/compressors!

Hi lee. Wow that'd be fantastic, thanks very much.

Im in camberley/ farnborough area, i know alton though, i used to work in lasham.

I can wait for new year yes, i am happy to pay for your help/workshop services too. I just didnt want to pay full whach (been quoted £200) for something i can do myself.
Ive got spring compressors, i have fitted a few sets of springs before.
was looking last night and found a special socket i need, but a 21mm sparkplug spanner would do the job!

When are you thinking we can hook up to give this a go then?

Yeah ok, that sounds good to me, thanks.

I would prefer a weekend, but to be honest an evening would be fine too. I could also book a day off if its a day time thing.

Thanks very much Lee, really appreciate it

have a very merry christmas!!

Just re-built my rears to replace the top mounts and shocks etc and you should defo have no problem with them, two bolts at the top and one at the bottom and the lot comes out. Then all you gotta do is re-build each strut on the bench, then re-fit. Should get them done inside an hour.

I've heard the fronts aren't much more effort either!
