I'm very interested to see how everyone compares as this will test low end/mid range torque which is what we really use everyday instead of outright drag stripe HP. The idea is to read dead on 30mph and then floor it to 70mph. These can easily be taken on any straight flat piece of national speed limit road with a stop watch and using the OBC read out. Please no slip roads as it can be dangerous and most of them either go up or down hill. Mine was taken from the average of 4 runs rather than the fastest: GTT 230+ with a couple of extra mods - 6.2seconds Thanks gb means GearBox.. Yes the last runs were with the red light on but compared to the 1/4 of a tank times its not any different. 6degrees C outside and i've added a MiniMania 4-2-1 manifold with decat for these runs. Really need to get on the dyno to see what HP I am running these days... should be around 240bhp.... 30-70mph times: 5.7 5.8 5.8 Average 5.7s 30-70mph uphill sliproad: 6.2 6.2 6.3 Average 6.23 30-67mph(Think thats right... hit the rev limit every time!) 3.5 3.6 3.6 Average 3.57 I data logged the whole thing so when I get the time and the will to do it i'll see what the ecu said my max speed was in second and see what my boost pressure was. p.s. had a quick look....and for the 30-70mph times... Timing angle varies between -20 and 50 degrees! Can that be right? Intake pressure(T-MAP) ran between -13.07PSI and 18.16PSI. Not bad and didnt even reach the redline. 30-64mph (thats the rough speed I can see in the logs) Timing : -14 to 50 degrees Boost : -13.36 to 17.29PSI P.s.s just checked the maps and 50degrees is the limit for the face lift map... I managed a 30-70 time of 7.17 sec with a stopwatch. This was just 1 run though, so i will need to do a few more runs to make sure this time is correct. My MCS is an 05 model, it has no engine mods, but i do have O.Z. Racing Ultraleggera 17" wheels on it but still use the stock tyre size of 205/45-17. The fuel tank was at least 3/4 full, tyre pressure around 33 psi and it was just me in the car. Air temp was around 10'C. Was this a good time for a standard 05 MCS, or not ?.

several runs on a straight road in both cars: My 07 R56 Cooper S 6.4 seconds 6.4 seconds 6.4 seconds My car has 17" webspokes - i will check the tyres later. JCW 57 R56 Cooper S: 7.3 seconds 6.8 seconds 6.8 seconds The JCW had 18" R109 (lightweight) alloys - i am not sure about tyres. They would be standard MINI ones, whatever they are.

My MINI has the GTT220 with reroute pipe. All of Rolands strut braces. 215/40 R17 Nankangs with after market alloys. Just under 3/4 tank of fuel Outside temp 10c Roads mainly dry with a little bit of damp. 6.4 6.3 6.4 6.2 6.3 So average is around 6.32 I also had the rear seats removed which should counter act the weight of my sunroof. And to my surprise I'm getting much better times now. Got a few 5.9's and a 5.8. So average is about 5.86. Thats much better than the 6.32 I was getting before so I think my old clutch was on the way out. Forgot to add this time is also with my seats left in and GTT rear brace fitted. Outside temp was about 5c. [ Edited Tue Mar 04 2008, 09:49PM ]

But in all fairness i should have thought about what could happen before i acted, i also posted that thread, and then saw a post from some1 about what had happened with BigShow300. so i shot myself in the foot before i knew what the out come would be.
