Dave,

I shall be using the Southampton crossing again like last year. Any idea what times we should book the ferry to get us there and back?

Ok, like last time here's the times I will be using for my trip. Leaving on the 9am boat allows up 2 hours to get there. The ferry will take 1 hour but as we know from last time off loading a big ferry takes some time and we have atleast 35mins driving through traffic.
I went for a 8:30pm ferry so I could stay at the campsite till about 7:50pm which I would expect it to starting to get dark. Dont forget you loose about 30mins+ a month of light hours so instead of sunset being 9:11pm like it is today it will probably be around 8pm on the 15th My guess anyway from a 7minute sunset time loss every week.

Cheers for putting up the times Dave.

I will book the same ferry later today.

Once we have the route notes I'll make some Tomtom files and make a points of interest for it as well. Hopefully I will get the afternoon down hill section correct as I seem to remember a few of us skipping a section.   lol

Ferry booked We're going from Southampton to East Cowes at 2pm-2.55pm on Friday 14/9/07 and back the same route 2.30-3.25pm. When do we need to pay for the campsite? Tigger.

Hi Arron, Yes, we'll be heading back on the Sunday. Looks like I need to go back and edit that post! We've had a lot of "aways" recently, so it looks like it's just going to me from Kernow this time Oh well, really looking forward to seeing everyone all the same

PS: None too sure that you'll recognise me when you see me next time! I'm down 3 stone since t he MMM in April! cheesey.png

Yay! Welcome on board Redwhitecooper and Trowbridge - this is goona be fab!

Queries:
Ferries will not be busy that time of year - end of school hols. Always good to book in advance - but will probably be ok to ring day  before if you need to leave it that late!

Pay when you get there for camping - but ring to book in so thay can get idea of numbers - they will probably do us a special deal like last year - just quote Mini club! shades.png

Camping booked this morning. Minijo, just a reminder, the first post asks us not to book with the site - you might need to update that one

Tigger.

Not so much a matter of being brave - jut finding the time!

I'm easily swayed so for now, it's a strong "probably"
