You could try using a bug & tar remover, such as Turtle Wax's Bug & Tar.

If you have already tried this sort of product, then you could try Maguires Scratch X. This is a very mild abrasive clearner.

So is it just paint work your struggling to remove bugs from, or plastics and glass as well ?.

being to my brothers this afternoon, hes got most of the bugs off. He also told me off about the state of my car so hes offered to help me strip it and clean it for next trip down south and put my new chrome grill on wooohhoooo

A clay bar is always good for removing bugs and any other hard to remove particles such as baked on brake dust.

My recommedation would be the Sonus clay bar;

Soaking wet cloths draped over the offendng bugs for an hour usually gets them soft enough to wash off with a mitt and no hard rubbing...
