A while back I swapped the footwell lights for Orange ones, as at the time I could not find some red ones.

So after visiting Autobulbs direct I ordered the Single LED bulb's, however they give off very little light

They do a 4 LED bulb. Before I try these has anyone used them in the footwell and do they give off more light than the single LED Bulb and do they fit in the Footwell light bracket.

They aren't a lot but can't be bothered to order them if they won't do the job I want.

Failing that anyone know where I can get some Red Bulbs instead

hehehe as long as you find the leds with the 501 connection it will fit fine

leds use less power than the standard bulb so no worries there

if you go to the pub lunch next sunday i have some single bulb white LEDs you could try in your car (it would be day so not the best test but you should see a difference)

i think you would be better off using a single bulb led too as the 4 way ones are all foward facing so most the light would dissapear elsewhere

I have to say I ran blue quad led's in my MCS as the since LED's seem to all have directional filters on them so that the light is only emitted by the top of the LED. Not much use when mounted side ways.

Fitted my old blue LEDS last week. I bought these from Les Smiths years ago and are the quad leds just bent down towards the footwell do light up really really well. Also got some really powerful single LEDs given to me from someone at work so will have to put them somewhere.

i had a full xenon bulb conversion in my cooper with red led foot wells and various other lighting mods....

my latest is a cold cathode under my S's battery grill so it glows blue in the back!!!

Well since the colour is only created by a filter on top of the bulb there's no reason why not! But I doubt you'll find one in a normal shop.

With a bit more research I think you could easily make a set for less than £10 and that would be more than one LED per footwell to get a better effect.

You need 6 Pink 12Volt LED's from where ever stocks them and then either solder them on or make up a nice little plug for them. I'm not sure I can do the 'blonde' terms though.....

I just have the single Red LEDs in mine and they are fine

Thinking about one for the courtesy light and go for the tactical look so I don't ruin my nightvision

Got mine from here http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/home.php

Took abit of experimenting but found the 4 LED bulbs were best
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/product.php?productid=16366&cat=611&page=1

Unfotunately they don't do them in PINK 8O

Just found this company as well
