hence photoshop, desaturate the buggers

Oh and if you want your films to last longer, whack them in some bags and either put them in the fridge or freezer that'll double there life

but do remember to let them defrost a bitr before you get them developed!

So you can now enjoy the celebrated ale that still eludes the Ferrets of the Gribble Inn - Fursty Ferret

Is there a jargon buster on the site who knows what all the letters on lenses mean??

ie IS image stabilisation and AF autofocus but some baffle me.

example: Canon EF 90-300mm f/4.5-5.6 USM...what does EF stand for and what does USM stand for?

Sigma Lens 50-150 f2.8 EX DC HSM...what does EX DC HSM stand for?

Sigma Lens 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO DG Macro...APO and DG??

I think you get my drift

ALSO I want to get a 70 to 300mm lens for airshows. I have seen a couple of cheap Canon and Sigma models at less than £200. I can't afford an expensive one and I know you trade off apperture and IS but are they worth the money or is it better to save up.

Cheap and cheerful is good for me but I don't want to buy trash..

well sigma are good its not always a case of how much you spend best thing is read through a few of mags and see what they rate as if your a pro then you can spend a few k happily but in the end its how seruois you whant to be

for a 70 -300 i would look to spend about 1k but then im looking at going pro other wise the most i would spend is 400 try e-bay as theres loads of second hand stuff quite cheep sometimes
