I would have got rid of the skip on the right for a start. Maybe gone for a lower angle to hide the background with the cars, but that may have been difficult without a wide angle lens.

to my knowledge all digital lenses are always twice the size to compensate for there differences to film

surely any 35mm lenses would be reaching there limits of use on a digi SLR??

ive got a feeling that my AF is forwards compatible havent tested so wont know for sure but i think nikkon and cannon are the only ones that due to the better in lense reflex system they both use

On some Digital SLR's such as the 350D you have to multiply the the size by 1.6, it is to do with the smaller sensor size on Digital cameras compared to 35mm

Top end negatives are comparable to a 20mp camera according to the latest studies by a couple of the photo mags

so unless your minted you can't beat the film quality...

although digital is faster.... and has 0 fade and colour funnies...

As a bit of interest for anyone who has or interested in buying any Canon products, this turned up in the EOS Email Newsletter So I thought I would spread the word a little as it is local

Demo day at Southampton

EOS Magazine will be attending the Canon in-store demo day on Saturday 2 December 2006 at The London Camera Exchange PRO Centre on Civic Centre Road, Southampton. The event runs from 9am to 5.30pm.

There will be an opportunity to meet the experts from Canon for in-depth demonstrations and answers to your queries on the latest EOS products. There will also be a huge line-up of DSLRs, lenses, Speedlites and accessories from the EOS system, with special offers and part-exchange deals.

Available on the day is a free EOS sensor clean by a Canon technician. Also in attendance will be Bodoni Gretag providing full demonstrations of Spyder, printer and monitor colour printing systems. Special prices will be on offer.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it as I will be playing dodge the speed camera van in South Wales over the weekend

There is also a London camera exchange sale at the Novotel in Southampton on Sunday 3rd. I got a good deal on a carbon fibre tripod at the last one. Well worth going, even if you're just looking.

I'm dodging the speed cameras in south Wales too! Hope to see some of your pics Martin.
