Hello All,

I am orgranising a track day in November and we're looking to hire out Goodwood for the whole day through a company who would also (if people wanted) be able to supply race preped MINI Coopers & an instructor.

Date cannot be confirmed yet as it wouldn't be able to be set til we hit a trigger point of around 30 people for it to cost £130 per person (excluding the cost of race preped cars-those who want to drive those will need to share costs between them). If, after booking the track more people join up we will rebate everyone the overpayment, eg if 30 people go and we raise an additional £300 because more people join up after its paid for everyone will get £10 back

Can anybody who SERIOUSLY wants to go for this can you register your interest here and maybe PM me your email address so I can keep everybody notified with updates.

This is NOT restricted to MINI's, anyone is welcome...the more the merrier because it drives down cost!

Although details are at this point sketchy it is because we need to reach the trigger point before we set the ball rolling with the organiser.

Further details in some of these threads on ECMC (mods...hope you don't mind me linking to another owners club, edit/delete if you feel you need to....I won't be offended

Any questions, post them here and I will create an FAQ post with questions from all users.

I won't be able to make this, but I did a track day last October at Goodwood...

Anyone signing up for this, be aware that in one full day you will destroy a set of front tyres and most likely a set of brake pads.

If you are driving 'properly' Goodwood is very heavy on brakes in particular. Braking at the end of the main straight from 120mph down to 45-50 just wrecks brakes.

Have fun though

I'll just follow Neil around.... his brakes are good enough to stop both cars.

All, we have a bit of a split in opinions from a number of people from other forums....some would prefer going to Snetterton which is based in Norfolk, and as you know Goodwood is based near Chichester, W. Sussex.

Who would still be willing to come to the event if it was up in Snetterton...this is just a straw pole, no decisions have been made!

Cheers Guys!
