Hey all, ok my 2004 cooper s has got a light on the speedo telling me that brake pads are low,

1. how do i know if its th front or back? Without going to BMW

2. can anyone reccomend the best pads to get??

3. is there anyone reccomended in southampton to fit them, im not paying BMW prices

stock ones unless you want uprated ones and then id probably go with a set of Mintex. Stay clear of EBC Green Stuffs!

Shine a torch through the wheel and you can see how much pad is remaining on the outside. Often the inside is worn more than the outside pad.

Any decent garage can do it. Maybe try Protyre in Fareham as they seem pretty good and not so dodgy as QuickFit!
