I can't even drive her now until the gearbox goes, as I now know about an issue that needs to be addressed. Hence I need to cough it up myself ![]() I did what most responsible people would do, rather risking an accident involving other motorist, I took her in and have her checked out before any serious damaged is done. I did that after I narrowly escaped a major accident when the clutch went last year! After this, the only thing major left to replace is the engine, just hope it will last a bit longer! ![]() Anyway, I was given a 59 reg MINI One or whatever, and it is rather nippy. So I should like the Cooper version when it is time to replace Apple! Image: http:// www.appletheminicoop er.net/PicSigs/ PicSig26.JPG

Just a tad annoyed with AA for not coughing up as I failed to report it as a breakdown! Dave, I have had bad experiences with non-MINI garages, so it is a matter of better the devill I know etc... If you you do think about going to a non-MINI garage, then i know one that will put a 6 speed cooper S gearbox in there . They don't break .
