OK what to do about a mischievous mini? Bumble Bee has now done about 1500 miles and I've loved every one. The trouble is when I'm doing 70 on the motorway she sneaks up to way past that without me noticing unless I have cruise on - bad mini....shades.png

Does anyone else suffer from this sort of thing. I thought I would feel the speed more but not so.....

On another note - what's the best way to shift all the splattered bugs?????

The MINI has such an upright screen it will always attract the bugs more than the next car..just drive slower on a DCW, its a revelation in my case LOL..70 leaves carnage on the screen, bonnet, bumpers, grill, lights ...50 and they bounce off
Im using Tesco cheap and cheerful exterior glass wipes at 99p a packet from the motoring section..they work just as well as the expensive brands.

I hear that soaking kitchen roll in hot water and then applying this works well for bugs...

However I use 'Spray and Wipe' from Poorboys World and this works really well.

You might be resting your foot too hard on the pedal!!

Ow what a michivious bumble bee - yeh Chilli does have a tendancy to do that also you need to not rest your foot on the pedal to much & have words!

Yeh not sure on the bug zapping i am yet to find any good products yet but the ^^ sounds worth trying

Glad your loving all your mini miles & adventures xx

i've found the best way to get bugs off, is to wrap the car in cling film before you go on a 50+mph drive

Best way to get bugs off is to do it as soon as you can, I just use cold water and a sponge.

It doesn't work so well if you leave them for a couple of weeks!

I think MINI's just love to run guinevere also races off when i'm not paying attention more particually when i've had to drive to horrible work galaxy, but also when pulling away from junctions not good when the area is full of drivers who don't know what their right foot is for

Get a powerwasher up close and pesonal and then use baby wet wipes, then do the usual shampoo and rinse - cheap and cheerful!

Buy a Roadangel, it bleeps when going over certain speeds.
Also detects those annoying cameras etc.

With all the talk of bug removals I forgot the original point of this thread - hence the thought that Road Angel would help 'avoid' splattering bugsamazed.png

I heard that too! Very hot water on like a good quality kitchen roll. Suppose to lift them right off with the moisture and heat. Never tried it myself!
