Having signed up for several unrelated forums on the same day with an e-mail adress from a Russian provider.

The word Spam in the e-mail adress gave it away.

I just googled the name.

 Im with you Tracie, there are so many people that sign up and never post. I very rarely post in the newbie section.

 Funny I googlled it too after they first signed up and came to the same conclusion as Matt.

And like Lola and Matt, I don't bother unless they say Hello! Otherwise...whats the point?!

 Yes i agree with Tracie, Matt and Arron about saying hello to a new member after they say hello first. I'd also like to see people who sign up and never post having there accounts deleated. Say after a month. If they haven't posted by then, then they aren't going too.

 I agree as what is the point in joining an online group then not participating in it though i would say send a warning email after 4 weeks giving another 2 weeks as they may be reasons for not posting eg on holiday
