Which weekend?
Aug 3rd

Aug 10th

Aug 17th

Aug 24th (bank holiday weekend)

I've been thinking of organising a barbecue for this summer. Making use of one of the New Forest barbecue sites.

There would be a run in the morning, ending at the bbq site. Then we can have our food and play a few games or laze around in the sun in the afternoon.

There are 2 dedicated bbq's in the forest, both charge £60 a day at weekends to hire the site, no matter how many people attend.

So assuming 20 people attend thats £3 each, I would say the same again to cover food, paper plates and cutlery. £6 Each total. I would be more than happy to do the cooking, I might recruit someone to do the run in the morning. Maybe the Splashing and Humping run??

As for a date, I was thinking a Sunday in August. (See Poll)

Please let me know what you think.

Matt

brilliant idea Matt

I did a similar sort of thing at Royal Victoria Country Pack last July. Macro can help with catering costs Or people bring what they want to burn

I vote aim for a big one! The Splashing and Humping runs usually bring in big numbers if advertised on all the MINI and Mini Sites I'm willing to bet the booking fee we can get 40+ peeps but you need to book early! Or are you thinking a bit more locals and fun day out?

I was thinking of just keeping to SCNM and other regulars that make the effort. That way we will know everyone and hopefully enjoy the banter a bit more.

Great Idea count me in! Don't mind which weekend, lets make a descision soon then we can get it booked in our diary. Im going to put my hand up to sort out refreshments courtesy of LTS Tuning! Assuming we are keeping it to club members and family and not the whole world lol.

Matt, the only date I can't do is Sunday 10th Aug as I'm holding a bbq for my family as it's my birthday on the 9th. Other than that I'm up for it and as everyone has said let us know if you need a hand with anything.

Hey! There's plenty of fresh, organic meat in the Forest if we need some!

And will reduce the number of animals involved in accidents. So its a win-win situation!!
