For discussions and banters, please use this thread instead: http://www.scnm.co.uk/forum-t53301.html Date of Event This is confirmed to be Fri 22 May 2009 to Sun 24 May 2009 Location of Event This has yet to be confirmed, however, the smart money is on Silverstone Circuit. Some of the European MINI sites have started to plan to go to Silverstone. There are unconfirmed rumours of events at the MINI plant at Cowley. More details will be posted as soon as we have confirmed information. Accommodation and Location Based on previous experience, people are most likely to leave the host compound and venture out for food (the food and drink at Zandvoort 2007 was expensive, and we were not given MINI money like we did at Missano 2005) and other entertainment (some of us need to get away from the music!). Since there is not a lot around Silverstsone itself, Northampton may be a better place as a base, as it has more on offer in terms of food, entertainment and shopping etc... IBIS Northampton at Sol Central has a big car park, and an excellent All You Can Eat Oriental Buffet Restaurant called Aroma right next door, and is ideally placed for Northampton city centre with easy accessible by car. Therefore, it is proposed for this to be the SCNM base, hotel address can be found via this link: http://www.ibishotel.com/ibis/fichehotel/gb/ibi/3657/fiche_hotel.shtml Please start booking your rooms to avoid disappointment. We can always cancel our rooms at a later date. However, so far, no SCNMer is brave enough to face camping so early in the year. If any of you decide to camp, then please let me know, and I shall update the information in this thread.
